POSITION SUMMARY
Willington
is seeking a dynamic individual as the Principal of a small rural middle school
with a warm, caring, and successful educational environment for its 208
students, staff, and their families.
This educator must be collaborative, student-centered, an effective
communicator, highly visible, with expertise in instructional practices, and
proficient in technology.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
The
Principal shall:

Provide
educational and instructional leadership and assist in the development of
curriculum and instructional programs for grades 5-8 and in the district.
●
Analyze
student achievement results to identify areas of need and inform school
improvement efforts.
●
Engage staff
in the development and continuous refinement of a shared vision for effective
teaching and learning.
●
Advocate
educator and staff excellence through continuous improvement to develop and
achieve the school and district’s vision of high expectations for all students.
●
Lead the
recruitment, hiring, and strategic placement of highly-qualified staff.
●
Direct,
supervise, and evaluate professional, paraprofessional, and support staff.
●
Prepare and
effectively monitor the school budget.
●
Oversee
operations at the school including school safety and climate.
●
Build
relationships with students, staff, families and community members.
●
Work
collaboratively with Center School and district administration and staff on
aspects of curriculum, hiring, professional learning, and operations.
●
Demonstrate
strong pedagogical skills and ability to coach adults.
●
Establish a
program of public relations furthering the community’s understanding and
support of the total educational program.
This
position is full time (200 days) with a salary (range $102,000-$117,000) and
